What is a Detoxing Treatment?

Toxic build up in the body can cause skin problems, body aches and pains, or digestive problems which can cause you to feel tired and drained. Detoxing is a way of cleansing the body of these impurities by helping the body’s natural elimination process.Detoxification is about resting, cleaning, and nourishing the body from the inside out by removing these toxins and feeding you body healthy nutrients.It can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain good health.

Where to begin: Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugar, and saturated fats, and stress.Also minimize use of chemical-based house hold cleaners and unnatural personal health care products (like shampoos, cleansers,

deodorants and toothpaste) and replace them with natural alternatives.

There are different approaches to detoxing.One is fasting – abstaining from all foods and drinking only water, herbal tea and juices over a short period of time. It is best done over two to three days. If you have to include food During this time have only fiber-rich, healthy foods such as raw or lightly cooked fruits, vegetables and grains. Do several sessions of gentle exercise and get lots of rest. Drink plenty of water to help flush toxins away. You can also drink fresh juices, and herbal teas.
